My name is Andrea and I am an award winning, published and featured portrait photographer and certified makeup artist from St.Charles, MI.
I've poured so much of my heart and countless hours into my career in hopes of creating a space where we can connect and create together. I love authentic giggles, genuine smiles, magnetic love, breathtaking sunsets and adventures. I adore the images that snap you right back to the moment they were taken. I'm sure you've heard it a thousand times before, but truly, I want your session to feel like seeing an old friend. I want to be the photographer you go to time & time again, for every milestone, I want you to feel so comfortable & authentically captured that you forget you're being photographed. My goal is to create genuine smiles born from shameless silliness and carefree adventures.
A little more about me. I started doing photography full time back in 2018 when my husband, Zach, bought me my first full frame camera and encouraged me to follow a dream. After countless hours of workshops and practice, I had a business up and running and he was my biggest fan. He was even learning how to use the camera so he could work with me one day. My husband passed away from COVID in 2021 and it was hard to pick up my camera again after that. It was a painful reminder of what I lost. But doing what I love is a gift he gave me and after a few years of soul searching and learning how to grieve and live at the same time, I was back behind the camera with a whole new outlook. I’m still learning and I probably always will be but capturing precious memories for my clients brings me so much happiness. When I'm not toting around my camera, you'll find me hanging out with my seven year old daughter (Hallie) and my three year old daughter (Sawyer) or getting lost in the pages of a new book. We have an amazing group of friends and close knit families. I love rainy days and all things beautiful and unique. I'm obsessed with comfort items. Blankets, coffee mugs, fuzzy socks...all the things. When I'm not chasing my toddler, building forts, having nuggie picnics and creating masterpieces out of play doh, I'm usually cuddled up to my babies and trying to get belly laughs. Family first always. Photography is my creative outlet and I love it so much. I do as many photoshoots as my schedule allows. And when I need some ME time, you'll find me in a blanket binging on true crime TV. Add a thunderstorm, hot chocolate, and a session to edit and that is where I am really in my element. That is my happy place.
